PITTSFIELD — Thanks to a new mural that pays homage to Pittsfield's past, a once-blighted Tyler Street site has been reborn. The mural, titled "Harvest of Hope," was unveiled Friday at 288 Tyler St. It covers nearly 1,500 square feet, and celebrates the Morningside community's earliest fruit market.

When Samantha Farella received the Core Impact Award from Mill Town Foundation, she experienced something rare in her work as a reading specialist: she felt truly seen. “The recognition helped me realize that what we do is impactful,” Farella says.
